HOW IT WORKS
What is included in the cost?
Once a TKDAResume writer receives your source materials – your current resume; no more than 1 page of notes about how you’d like to upgrade the resume and where you’d like it to take you; and a single “dream job” listing – she will carefully review your submission and craft a response of follow-up questions and comments.
Once you respond to these, she will generate a first draft. After you provide feedback, she will generate a second draft. After you provide final changes/last-minute tweaks to the second draft, she will generate your final draft.
So, included in the price are a comprehensive review/analysis of your existing resume, a meticulously rendered list of follow-up questions/comments, and three drafts of your new-and-improved resume.
How long does the process take?
In general, you will receive follow-up questions from the resume writer within 48 hours; your first draft will be delivered within one week of receipt of your response to those follow-up questions; and the final draft will be delivered within two weeks (depending on the speed of your subsequent responses). If you’re in a hurry, ask about our rush pricing.
Does my TKDAResume resume have to be only 1 page?
Absolutely. In this job market, you’re lucky if a recruiter – who may be getting 1,000 resumes a week – even reads to the bottom of ONE page (and if you don’t start with a killer summary, she most definitely won’t). If you can’t prioritize and effectively encapsulate your experience in 1 page, you represent yourself as essentially unfocused. Moreover, a second page is by definition viewed as containing information that’s not as important as what’s on the first – so why should a busy recruiter bother with it? One page is all you NEED.
How will I communicate with my resume writer?
All communication with the resume writer must be conducted by e-mail (not phone) so the writer has an accurate record of client specifications/changes. If she needs to call you to clarify anything, she won’t hesitate.
